The Galena Territory is a semi-private plot of land that is residential, recreational and is located in the Northwest corner of the State of Illinois. The area is part of 1900 acres of recreational amenities like walking,/hiking, boating or fishing.

Guests are able to visit during the fall or winter time and explore the extensive 6,800 acres of Galena Territory. During the warmer months, golfers enjoy playing rounds on one of the four championship courses at the Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. As the weather cools off a little bit there a variety of other activities that can be done with family and friends. During the Eagle Ridge, Winter Carnival enjoy the bonfires, hot air balloons, free pony and sleigh rides, and ice turkey bowling tournaments. They also offer its guests fun activities like tennis, horseback riding, swimming pools, boating, fishing on 225 acres of lake galena, hiking, and biking through 31 miles of wooded trails.
Trail Rides
If you are new to riding trail rides are a great way to learn and perfect your horseback riding skills. They provide the well-trained horses that are perfect for any skill level. If you want to ride the trails though you must be 8 years old or older and between 65 and 300 pounds. It is also recommended that all horseback riders wear long pants and heal and closed-toed shoes.Monday through Thursday the trail passes are only $15, on the weekends though the price does go up to $25.
Hours
Depending on what portion of the park that you are visiting changes the hours. Most of the park is open from dawn to dusk however the offices, swimming pools, game room all have a variety of hours. Make sure that you check out their website on their various hours before your visit.
