Located on Galena's historic downtown Main Street, the Main Street Inn is a cozy, inviting place to relax that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (circa 1850). We offer 6 luxurious and spacious rooms located on the 2nd floor that will meet the needs of romantic adventures, friend getaways, or anything in between. Walk out our front door to take a stroll up Main Street and browse through Galena's unique stores and boutiques, enjoy dining at one of Galena's fine restaurants, or stop by one of our wine shops. Our History

With our building celebrating its 170th birthday in 2020, it has seen a lot of history in Galena. Early on, our building served as the Standard Cigar Company, which was one of the region's highest volume and most popular cigar producers of the late 1800s and early 1900s. As the Inn was added on the second floor, there have been other businesses that have occupied the first floor (now home of Poopsie's). As you enter the inn, you will feel the charm of yesteryear and Galena's history.

Our Team

Alana and Todd have owned the Main Street Inn since 2010. Todd is originally from the Chicago area and Alana right here in Galena. They met in college and married in 2002, relocating to Galena shortly after. Alana is part of the Poopsie's crew and it's pretty common to see her floating around the building with some sort of crazy hat or whatever on her head (it's a Poopsie's thing). Todd, we like to keep behind the scenes.

The most important person here is McKayla. She runs the daily operations and makes this place the charming special place you know it to be. McKayla has worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years and we are thrilled to have her here with us. Her smile is guaranteed to brighten any day!

Our goal is to provide a comfortable, convenient, and relaxing stay to our valued guests. Our crew loves sharing Galena with visitors as well. Rent the Entire Inn

One special benefit of our Inn's small, quaint size is that you can rent the entire place. Great for family gatherings, wedding celebrations, benchmark birthday parties, girlfriend getaways and more!! Nothing beats having your whole group in one place with your own individual rooms (and bathrooms) plus be located right in the heart of downtown.
